I wore my Mets hat out the first night I was in Philadelphia, and when I told that to GoFigure, she said, “Mets in Philly, no good. Philly is a total homer town, home teams only. If you aren’t sporting home colors, there’s no good interaction.” Then I tried to talk to a girl at the concert who was sporting a Phillies hat, and she didn’t even know who Maikel Franco was. The hat looked cute though, i will give her that.

Jose Berrios is the talk of the town after he pitched into the eighth inning last night, allowing one run off two hits and striking out 11. He threw first pitch strikes to 21 of the 27 batters he faced.

Matt Harvey threw 106 pitches and only 59 of them were strikes. He has given up 10 home runs and at least five runs in each of his last three starts with a 9:13 K:BB in 14.2 innings.

Clay Buchholz pitched for 21 minutes. InThe Mets had a three run lead three batters in and Buchholz recorded his first out on his 22nd pitch. His final pitch was 70 mph, bouncing toward home plate. He was holding his right arm and is now out with a strained right forearm. Stick a fork in him. Phillies fans should be relieved, forget about the $13.5 million the Phillies are paying for this guy. UGH

Rumor has it that Brandon Phillips is a goner as soon as Ozzie Albies is ready for a promotion to the majors. Here is what Manager John Coppolella said exactly; Forgive me if I do not take the comments to mean that ‘Brandon Phillips is disposable’ and ‘Ozzie is anywhere near ready to play in the majors’. Sorry. Maybe I am biased, so in full disclosure, I own Phillips all over the damn place.
Trevor Story might hit 30 homers again but last season he struck out 29.9 percent, and this spring he struck out 34 percent…no rocket science here.
