Lance Lynn took a one hitter into the eighth inning against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers last night, and it was the first time ever that a team held opponents to three or fewer hits and struck out at least 19, and still lost.

Yandy Diaz is hitting .417 with a .548 OBP with seven RBI 12 games this spring. He has walked six times and struck out only three. He has hit and shown good plate discipline at each minor league level and if it were up to Lenny, it would be Diaz playing second base in place of Jason Kipnis to start the season. Due to getting strep throat, Julio Urias has only pitched five innings this spring, putting him at a disadvantage to his competition for a spot in the rotation.

Lance Lynn should be drafted, and he will start getting drafted a whole bunch more because people are catching on. Expect his ADP to continue rising through the last draft. If you draft today you will get him a whole lot cheaper. Matt Carpenter hasn’t swung a bat this spring due to a back injury and and won’t swing for nine more days.
