  • 0-3 over five outings entering yesterday
  • 3.9 K per start over seven starts entering yesterday
  • 2 ER, 7 K, 2 BB

Gleyber Torres played third base in his Triple-A debut, going 1 for 3 with a single, a walk and a strikeout

Charlie Blackmon has hit .347 with 13 runs, seven home runs and 12 RBI in 18 games played at Citizens Bank Park.

Maikel Franco has hit .241 since May 1 of last season. He can’t hit sliders.

Lance Lynn took a one hitter into the eighth inning and it was the first time ever that a team held opponents to three or fewer hits and struck out at least 19, and still lost.

Injury Updates

Gregory Bird took grounders yesterday for the first time since going on the DL, and heads to Florida on Sunday for extended spring training

Wilson Ramos threw to the bases for the first time and could be ready for a minor league rehab assignment in the next week.

Wei Yin Chen received a platelet-rich plasma injection but there is still no timetable for his return.

Clint Hurdle was ”very encouraged” by Jameson Taillon’s first side session since having surgery for testicular cancer.

Trevor Story went 3-for-11 with a homer and two RBIs at Triple-A Albuquerque before rejoining the Rockies last night.
