WHITE HOUSE VISIT: PART 3

“I don’t get into politics, but I won’t be going.” With those words, Jackie Bradley Jr is the third Red Sox player to confirm he’ll be absent when the World Series Champs go to The White House on May 9th.

Reigning AL MVP, Mookie Betts, and third baseman, Rafael Devers have already declined the invitation. Starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez has said he “most likely” wouldn’t be attending. And, manager Alex Cora is still undecided, along with shortstop Xander Bogaerts, and utilityman Eduardo Nunez.

So far, relievers Matt Barnes and Ryan Brasier; starters Brian Johnson and Chris Sale; catcher Blake Swihart, first baseman Mitch Moreland, and utility man Brock Holt have all committed to represent the Olde Town Team in our Nations’ Capitol.
