Joe Maddon isn’t ‘ready’ to give up on Ian Happ even though he is 2 for his last 21 and struck out four times last night. Is this the same as not giving up on Kyle Schwarber as the leadoff batter? That worked out well. The question is when, not if they will give up on Happ. Not this week i guess.

Luis Severino was a monster yesterday when he struck out 11, as 70 percent of his pitches were in the strike zone. Severino pitched quickly and showed great mound presence. Come to find out, he worked with the king of mound presence this offseason, Pedro Martinez.

Lance Lynn should be drafted, and he will start getting drafted a whole bunch more because people are catching on. Expect his ADP to continue rising through the last draft. If you draft today you will get him a whole lot cheaper. Matt Carpenter hasn’t swung a bat this spring due to a back injury and and won’t swing for nine more days.
