Opportunity. Someone is going to hopefully step up and get hot and realize there’s a need for more depth in the rotation in terms of competitiveness and consistency. If I was young and saw what was going on here and I was a starting pitcher, I’d be hungry. We talked about shaping up the rotation a couple weeks ago. I didn’t think at that point we’d be running the guys out there that we are, but there have been some injuries and different things. It’s reality.Paul Molitor

Injury Updates

Cam Bedrosian is ready to be activated today, but it is unclear of the role he will play in the bullpen.

Bedrosian will pitch in the back end of our bullpen (I will) try to get his feet settled and get him an inning or two to get back into the major league flow, A lot of guys in our ’pen are pitching to their capabilities, which is one of the reasons we’re hovering around .500. Adding one more player with his upside is going to be a huge boost for us.Mike Scioscia
