Baseball Chatter 06/13

Max Muncy has hit home runs four days straight and now has 13 HR, 30 RBI, 1 SB and .277 AVG

Daniel Murphy is a real live player again for those of you wondering what the hell is going on with D. Murphy…

As you probably know by now, Bryce Harper was hit twice last night by Yankees pitching. Once off his elbow and again off his foot, which took him out of the game. He says he should be fine going forward but the drama starts there.

According to Robert Murray of Fanrag, some ‘anonymous’ National League executive said the following about Harper:

“The good ain’t worth the bad. He’s a losing player. Cares about himself more than the team. If I was in charge and had money, my team would not pursue him. We would use that money to sign 2-3 winning players.”

And Nats manager Rizzo came back furious with this:

First of all, the premise is entirely wrong, Bryce Harper is a winner. He’s been a winner his whole life. He’s been a Rookie of the year, five-time All-Star, an MVP. He’s won more games since he’s been called up to the big leagues than any player in the major leagues. So how is that a loser?… “

You can watch the just of it here, Kevin Millar gets it
