Hector Rondon has taken on the last three save opportunities in Houston and manager AJ Hinch says more than one pitcher will get saves in the future. That sounds right.

Robert Gsellman is getting saves while Jeurys Familia is on the disabled list

Ryan Tepera has been all but named the closer right now in Toronto. Roberto Osuna has court regarding his ongoing domestic violence probe on June 18 and his leave has been extended four times through today. Expect them to extend it again at least until June 18. If he doesn’t get paid the time he has already spent on leave can count toward his punishment. He has been out since May 8.

Justin Miller = Effector. He was quietly promoted from Triple-A late in May. He has 17 strikeouts in nine innings and hasn’t allowed a run. He actually hasn’t allowed a run all season because he threw  13 scoreless innings in the minors. He struck out 25. He isn’t a prospect, 30 years old, but his velocity is back up to 95 on this season.

Shelby Miller got blown up yesterday in what was supposed to be his final rehab start before rejoining the Diamondbacks rotation. He gave up nine hits and eight earned runs in three innings. He walked two batters and struck out four, throwing 65 pitches total.

Ryan Yarbrough has pitched 19 innings with 21 strikeouts in his last three outings. He isn’t listed as a starter because he is an effector.

Jung Ho Kang is batting .417 with 5 R, 11 RBI, 3 HR, 5 XBH and 1 SB in 24 at-bats down at High-A

Randal Grichuk is hitting .389 over the last week with 7 H, 5 R, 3 HR, 3 2B, and 7 RBI

Stephen Piscotty and Dustin Fowler couldn’t see the ball in the sun yesterday and it bounced off Piscotty’s head like the time it bounced off Jose Canseco’s head Have a look

Gary Sanchez and Greg Bird are so maddening to Fantasy owners and fans. I can’t say it any better than our buddy Vic Dibitetto. Warning: Foul language

Shohei Ohtani had a Grade 1 UCL strain when he came to the states. Now he has a Grade 2 Strain and if he doesn’t have TJ surgery now, he will have to when it turns into a Grade 3 strain. Why put off the inevitable?

People wonder who is going to replace a guy like Ohtani on their Fantasy roster. Well, they are in luck because Luiz Gohara just earned outfield eligibility at ESPN. He is now listed in the player pool twice. Gohara the hitter and Gohara the pitcher.
