Shawn Kelley has given up six home runs and the Nationals bullpen has given up 21 home runs.

Dusty Baker said his team has to be patient with the process of fixing the bullpen considering teams are mostly still in contention and are unwilling to trade. They should have picked up a closer before the season, just sayin.

Mike Trout is on fire since he missed five games last week. He has hit home runs in three straight and stole two bases last night. Him and Alex Rodriguez are now the only players to combine for 175 home runs and 150 steals before 26 years old.

Masahiro Tanaka has not pitched well for the third straight start. Last night was the shortest outing of his career after allowing eight runs over 1 ⅔ innings. He left the mound to loud boos from those lovely Yankees fans who should have been in a much better mood after the ordeal they put on for Derek Jeter. Leave it to Yankees fans to boo their best pitcher off the mound in the second inning.

Tanaka posted on Twitter late last night, but the tweet has since been removed. According to the NY Daily News: Google translation of the tweet

I really could not do anything today. It is miserable. I looked back on the video, but it is too cruel. However, as I understood the problem with some kind of image, I managed to correct it somehow and hope to see the next one.Tanaka on Twitter
From what I saw, his breaking pitches weren’t as sharp as they usually are. … You’ve got to give credit to the other team. They were taking some close pitches and making good contact. But I believe in Tanaka.Gary Sanchez on Tanaka's Outing

Curtis Granderson just keeps on sucking and the Mets just keep on playing him. He is batting .144 over 125 at-bats so far this season. I have him on my bench so he should be hitting. ??

Denard Span is 9 for 21 with a double, a triple and two home runs since being activated from the disabled list.
