Yu Darvish does not require draft pick compensation to sign because he was traded in the middle of the season. Here is a list of the remaining free agents who do:

The Brewers have recently talked with Tampa Bay about Chris Archer

Kevin Pillar stole 25 bases in 2015, which marked the last time any Toronto Blue Jays player stole more than 20 bases in a season. Pillar is the only Blue Jay to make 20 or more attempts since 2015.

Rougned Odor reached 30 home runs and stole at least 10 bases for the second straight season. He is extremely frustrating to own in any season-long format as he goes through stretches so bad, he can just ruin your chances of winning any Fantasy anything.

  • He ranked second to last among qualified batters with a .204 batting average
  • Had the lowest BABIP among major-league qualifiers at .224,

Yes Odor stole bases, yes he hits for power, and yes he is in no danger of losing his job. I highly recommend you not use this as justification to draft him.

Don’t even go there if Odor is facing a lefty. Why is he even hitting against left-handed pitchers you ask?

His backup at second base is Jurickson Profar, thats why.

Jurickson Profar has been disappointing to the Rangers to say the least. He is out of options already and seems to be getting worse, not better. He has hit for extra bases only twice in the last two seasons. The Rangers don’t want to give him up for $20,000 claiming fee, but why keep him? Stay far away in Fantasy.

The Braves hit more home runs last year (165) than only two teams, the Pirates (151) and the Giants (128).  They will start this season without at least Brandon Phillips (11 HR), Matt Adams (19 HR) and Matt Kemp (19 HR)  so unless they add a power hitter….

They are stacked with budding prospects, including Ronald Acuna

And here is their new mascot, Blooper, who should not run the risk of offending anyone. Maybe.

Mike Rizzo feels good about the Nationals heading into the season. He is pleased with the health of his team, but they are always looking to add depth, of course.

A.J. Cole threw the ball extremely well his last seven starts last year. His stuff was good, it up-ticked at the end of the season, and of course we love [Erick] Fedde. He’ll be healthy and have some major league time under his belt, so we feel good about where we’re at. So what we’ll be looking for is depth, just because it’s a very long season and very few seasons you go through with five starters.Nationals GM Mike Rizzo
