Mets have signed Wilson Ramos to a 2 year 19 million contract.
My Take: This was a very solid and safe acquisition for the Mets. Ramos has great pop and hits lefties well to a clip of .307.
The Mets as a team hit .224 vs left-handed pitchers last year and this will be a great addition. It’s a smarter signing because the Marlins want a big haul for J.T. Realmuto but by signing Ramos instead, Mets get to keep all their players and there isn’t even any draft pick compensation. A nice little off season for Brodie Van Wagenen so far, next let’s see how he addresses the hole centerfield and the Mets need for a left-handed reliever
