The Mets Sign Cespedes, A Bright New Day for Mets Fans

Lately the Mets fans have been crazy mad about the idea of the Mets up to their old tricks again by letting all the free agent batters get signed by every other team. The Mets fans are used to disappointment and I must give them credit because Yankees fans simply wouldn’t put up with near what a Met fan has endured over the past decade.

The Mets fans all say pretty much the same thing in that Cespedes can hit and we need a bat. We can’t get the job done with just the best pitching.

As I drifted off to dreamland, I remember Steve Sommers on WFAN radio saying that if the Nationals were to sign both Daniel Murphy and Cespedes, that Mets fans would revolt.

And that is probably true because I think it just works.

Let’s Go Mets!!

I woke at 3:15 to WFAN announcing that Cespedes would return as a Met in 2016.

And there is peace for now on New York sports radio.

ESPN is the first one to get it out there, with a video I can share with you and everything. One point for ESPN.

The NL champion Mets are bringing back outfielder Yoenis Cespedes, with the sides hammering home a three-year, $75 million deal Friday night, according to media reports.
