Mets have acquired Keon Broxton in exchange for Bobby Wahl and two lower level prospects.
My take: Sounds like a same old Mets move to me. Broxton is elite defensively but is a boom or bust type of hitter who strikes out more than thirty percent of the time.

This move could either provide outfield depth or signal that it’s the same yearly thing of false hope and empty promises.
If the Mets want to platoon him and Juan Lagares it’s fine, but don’t offer four years and $60 million to Yasmany Grandal and then cry poor again.
If they are not using that money on a big right-handed outfielder then they better use it to shore up the bullpen with an Adam Ottavino type of reliever.
