The Phillies are considering Michael Saunders and Brandon Moss as neither would not cost the team a draft pick. Their first round pick is protected though, so they would only lose their second-round pick if they signed Jose Bautista.
The Phillies could also be interested in a trade for a hitter such as Jay Bruce if they could pull it off without giving up top prospects.

According to ESPN rankings for 2017, the only pitchers who rank higher are Clayton Kershaw, Max Scherzer, Madison Bumgarner, Chris Sale, Corey Kluber and Noah Syndergaard.
