Mets In Danger of Early Irrelevancy

Another season of promises and false hopes is starting to come to fruition yet again. Every year we are sold on the same empty promises.

The Mets are finally seeing good pitching, and their hitting has gone back into hiding.

Steven Matz and Jason Vargas are now injured, and the Mets have zero starting pitching in their farm system to call upon.

This team is getting close to being buried in mid-May. Brodie did a poor job addressing the starting pitching depth and now this is being exposed and the Mets don’t have any answers.

Dallas Keuchel needs to be in play now because if the Mets wait for his draft compensation to go away. it will be too late. It’s the same yearly movie with the Mets but will the ending be any different this time?

I wouldn’t bet on it !
