Football Chatter Week Four Recap

 

Giants – Eli Manning and the Giants offense was noticeably limited to short throws Monday night, which made it hard for him to accumulate much yardage despite dropping back to pass 45 times.

Vikings – Sam Bradford completed passes to nine different receivers, and didn’t commit a turnover for the third straight game

Dolphins – Ryan Tannehill was 15 of 25 for 189 yards with a touchdown, an interception, a fumble and five sacks

Bengals – Andy Dalton was 22 of 31 for 296 yards with a touchdown and a sack.

Falcons – Matt Ryan passed for a team-record 503 yards and four touchdowns

Panthers – Cam Newton was sacked only once before he left the game in the fourth quarter to test for concussion. Newton was sacked eight times in last week’s loss to Minnesota

Raiders – David Carr went 25 for 35 for 199 yards

Ravens – Joe Flacco completed 32 of 52 passes for 298 yards and a touchdown, and has scored two of Baltimore’s three rushing Touchdowns this season.

Seahawks – Russell Wilson went 10 of 11 for 191 yards and two Touchdowns, along with a perfect 158.3 quarterback rating in the first half. He finished with minus-5 yards on five rushes for Seattle

Redskins – Kirk Cousins threw three touchdown passes. Cousins, who was 21 of 27 for 183 yards and also had an interception.

Bears – Brian Hoyer threw for 302 yards and two touchdowns

Broncos – Trevor Siemian was sacked three times prior to leaving game in the first half due to an injury to his non-throwing shoulder

Bucs – Jameis Winston completed 17 of 35 for 179 yards, was sacked five times and threw two interceptions.

Cardinals – Carson Palmer threw for 288 yards and a touchdown but left the game to be evaluated for a concussion after his head slammed to the turf on a sack by Aaron Donald with 5:40 to play.

Saints – Drew Brees threw two touchdown passes in the final five minutes, leading New Orleans to a 35-34 victory

Lions – Matthew Stafford was 23 of 36 for 213 yards, along with two interceptions

Chargers – Philip Rivers went over 300 yards for the second consecutive week, along with his first interception of the season

Titans – Marcus Mariota deferred to a persistent running game that topped 100 yards and scored both Titans touchdowns.

Texans – Brock Osweiler has thrown six interceptions through four games.
