Football Chatter Week Four Recap

Giants – Orleans Darkwa rushed 12 times for 48 yards and a touchdown while starting Monday night’s game against the Vikings.

Vikings – Jerick McKinnon averaged close to five yards per carry and caught a trio of passes, but his four-yard, fourth-quarter touchdown rush was probably the most satisfying part of his Week 4 showing.

The Bengals rushed for 77 yards and only averaged 2.1-yards per carry against the second-worst run defense in the league

Jaguars – T.J. Yeldon carried 13 times for 68 yards

Ravens – Justin Forsett was placed on the inactive list

The Bills matched a season high for first downs with 16 in the first half alone. Buffalo had 16 in each of its past two games after opening the season with 11 in a 13-7 loss at Baltimore.

Bears – Jordan Howard ran for 111 yards

Cowboys – Ezekiel Elliott ran for 138 yards and a touchdown. Elliott took over with 96 yards rushing in the second half

Chiefs – Jamaal Charles barely saw the field and took just two carries. He ran one time for six yards in his first game since tearing a ligament in his knee last October.

Chargers – Melvin Gordon carried 19 times for 36 yards with a pair of touchdowns He caught six of seven targets for an additional 43 yards.

Bucs – Charles Sims ran into the brick wall that is the Broncos’ line, without much success.

Cardinals – David Johnson had 100 or more total yards in eight of his last nine games – including all four to start this season..

Bills – LeSean McCoy scored five touchdowns in 2015, total.  He has four already in 2016.

McCoy averaged 2.7 catches per game in 2015 and caught four or more passes in just three of 12 games. McCoy is now averaging 4.3 catches per game.

Falcons – Tevin Coleman took a secondary role against the Panthers, while Devonta Freeman was the rushing red zone opportunity in week four.

Rams – Todd Gurley was unable to score for the third time this season.

DeVonta Freeman was able to get into the end zone after seeing Tevin Coleman vulture three scores in Week 3 and averaged a solid 4.4 yards per carry.

Lamar Miller has not found the end zone, but has at least 97 yards from scrimmage in each of his first four games with the Texans. He has touched the ball north of 20 times in every contest

Raiders – Latavius Murray‘s production level severely dropped off Sunday after scoring in each of the first three weeks of the regular season. Fantasy owners should be concerned with his lack of involvement in the Raiders’ offense

Theo Reddick  didn’t cede as many carries as expected to rookie Dwayne Washington, and remained heavily involved in the passing game yet again, tying for second on the team

Browns – Isaiah Crowell has over 100 yards rushing in two of the first four weeks, as he continues to be Cleveland’s featured back

Vikings – Stefon Diggs  tied teammate Kyle Rudolph to lead the Vikings in targets Monday, when he continued a streak of seeing at least seven passes thrown his way in each game this season.

Giants – Victor Cruz‘s nine targets tied for the Giants’ team-lead Monday, when his five receptions were the most he’s registered so far this season

Giants – Odell Beckham had the lowest single-game output of his career so far, with three catches out of nine targets and 23 receiving yards three catches were the fewest he’s posted this season, despite seeing nine passes thrown his was

Bengals – A.J. Green had 173 yards and a touchdown

Falcons – Julio Jones had 12 receptions for a franchise record 300 yards.

Raiders – Michael Crabtree finished with seven catches for 88 yards, and caught three touchdown passes

Bears – Eddie Royal caught seven passes for 111 yards and a touchdown.

Bucs – Mike Evans caught less than 50 percent of his targets in a game for the second time this season.

Broncos – Tyrell Williams ranked fifth in receiving yards, despite finishing second on the team in targets

Broncos – Emmanuel Sanders caught seven of 11 targets for 76 yards.

Redskins – Jamison Crowder, didn’t catch a TD pass for the 1st time since week 1

Tenn Shannon Sharpe managed just two catches for 15 yards on seven targets and hasn’t topped 50 yards since the opener

Saints – Michael Thomas netted a season-low in yardage week four, but he has received a combined 20 targets over the last two weeks and has scored in both games.

Texans – DeAndre Hopkins is on pace for 908 receiving yards after putting up 1,521 in 2015.

Cardinals – John Brown caught 10 of 16 targets for 144 yards in Sunday’s loss to Los Angeles

Lions – Golden Tate had one catch for one yard across four targets. Head coach Jim Caldwell refused to admit the team had actually benched Tate, but his explanation, that the “plan” the whole time was for Tate to sit in the second half, comes a little hard to believe.

Vikings – Kyle Rudolph is emerging as a favored target of Sam Bradford, who has found Rudolph on three of his four touchdown passes

Bengals – Tyler Eifert was inactive again, contributing to the Bengals’ trouble close to the goal line

Patriots – Martellus Bennett limped off the field

Seahawks – Jimmy Graham had six catches for 113 yards, including an impressive 17-yard one-handed grab in the opening quarter

Chargers – Antonio Gates was inactive for the second straight week with a hamstring injury

Redskins – Jordan Reed caught two touchdown passes for 8 and 9 yards. He made nine catches for 73 yards and became the fastest tight end in NFL history to 200 career receptions.

Reed hit the 200 mark in his 38th game, one faster than Pro Football Hall of Famer Kellen Winslow Sr., and had his fifth multi-touchdown game.

Lions – Eric Ebron aggravated his ankle injury and hurt his knee blocking on a run in the first quarter, but returned to the game.

Gary Barnidge led the Browns with 57 receiving yards and although he has yet to find the end zone, he has 12 receptions for 123 yards over the past two weeks.
