For a NFL debut, Dak Prescott absolutely shined. Although going 25-for-45 with 227 yards doesn’t seem like a massive success, his management and poise throughout the game did get notice
Michael Vick even gave him credit on twitter.
Dak lookin so composed and comfortable! #realdeal

His most outstanding attribute was his poise in the pocket, maintaining his composure like Peyton Manning, and his management skills similar to Russell Wilson
In tandem with Prescott, Zeke only managed only 51 yards on 20 carries. This performance as lack luster as it was, should have sent a message to Elliot, his days in the great Ohio State ]Buckeyes are over, and he needs to adapt to the NFL. Hopefully, the Dallas offensive line can allow him to adapt and break out like DeMarco Murray did years before, and cement Zeke’s place on this team.
For the Eagles, Carson Wentz performed tremendously, with stats even better than Dak Prescott’s Debut, completed 22-of-37 passes for 278 yards, but one reason why he wasn’t getting more acclaim was because of their opposition. Whilst the Cowboys versed the New York Giants, a somewhat formidable defense with members such as Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Jason Pierre-Paul, the Eagles versed the browns, one of the worst teams in the NFL
Week 2 will be his true start, as week one was more of a “field test” even though the Chicago Bears are a slightly more formidable opponent.

If you mean “shine” in as the Stephen King horror novel “The Shining” then yes I would agree with you. Prescott’s performance was fantasy mediocrity at its finest. Between dropped passes, Dez not coming to play and opposing an average to good defense it’s hard for me to call that performance stellular.
I believe Zeke scored his first NFL touchdown so all is forgiven there.
Yeah, hard to make a point if you’re going to say he performed tremendously and then in the next sentence against a horrible team.
Thanks for letting me comment!
Great job Marc!
